Choose your workplace: home or office
What is it all about?
At our company, employees work at least 50% of the time in the office—and the rest of the time is theirs to manage as they see fit! Our model is called Mobile Work@ELATEC, and it takes into account each employee’s unique personal circumstances. We’ve also redesigned our office spaces to create areas for socializing and fun (think foosball, Wii).
What do I get out of it?
- You can choose the work location that best suits your needs at any given time. This allows you to work more efficiently, with less stress, and thus in a healthier way.
- Work and personal life are now much more compatible. Even when the unexpected happens, you don’t have to take an extra day off or worry about losing time commuting.
- Our employees conserve resources—for example, by not using their cars—and also gain more free time.
- You can choose your work location on a daily, weekly, or completely individualized basis. However, at least 50% of your monthly working hours should be spent in the office. Of course, operational needs must be taken into account.
- The same guidelines apply to all employees and teams. Managers are expected to actively support the program. However, Mobile Work is only possible if the nature of the work allows it. For example, it is not suitable for production, warehousing, and shipping.
- Participation in Mobile Work@ELATEC is completely voluntary. You can always choose to work in the office.
