The multi-standard RFID reader allows system manufacturers and integrators to integrate contactless identification and authentication into their solutions regardless of the transponders used by the customer. The device covers all common RFID technologies in the frequency ranges 125/134.2 kHz as well as 13.56 MHz. Because the reader supports NFC and BLE, mobile phones can also be used for secure identification. TWN4 Palon Panel will be available as of the second quarter of 2019.
The IP65-protected housing with invisible mounting can be individually configured using five programmable RGB LEDs. A variety of interfaces are available for the flexible integration into the application, such as USB, RS232, RS485, Wiegand, and clock/data. The assembly measures only 80 × 80 × 30 mm and can be mounted in a round hole. Antennas for LF, HF, and BLE are built into the device. System integration and end-user installation are made easier for developers thanks to the proven tools of the TWN4 product line. Tools such as the TWN4 Config Card even allow adjustments and settings to be made to the product in the field. Along with that, a SAM slot is provided for applications with enhanced security requirements.
